How do you decide who my competitors are?

Three sources, ranked, with anything you confirm outranking anything we inferred.

We combine three sources:

• **Rivals you confirmed.** These outrank everything else and survive every later refresh.
• **Your watchlist**, including anything added during setup.
• **Search overlap**, where a domain ranks on a meaningful share of the same searches you do.

A domain that overlaps on a single keyword out of several hundred is a coincidence, not a rival, so search-found domains have to clear a relevance floor before we suggest them. Platforms and directories are filtered out entirely: everyone shows up on those.

Fixing the set

Confirm or remove any rival from the Competitors tab. A removal is permanent, so a later refresh will not quietly put it back.
