The most important number on Otterly’s pricing page might not be $29. It might be 15: the prompt limit that determines how far your entry-level plan can take you. Add more questions or extra AI engines, and the price comparison starts to look very different. So, when is Otterly genuinely the cheaper choice, and when should you look beyond the starting price?
Otterly.ai makes an attractive first impression: affordable entry pricing, daily tracking, and coverage across four AI search engines. For a solo marketer testing AI visibility, that combination deserves attention.
However, choosing a plan requires more than comparing the largest numbers on two pricing pages. Prompt capacity, engine coverage, reporting integrations, and workspace limits determine whether the subscription fits your actual workflow.
The useful question is not, “Is Otterly inexpensive?” It is, “What will Otterly cost for the coverage I need?”
This guide breaks down otterly.ai pricing, explains the published add-ons, and compares relevant SKYA plans without pretending that one platform is cheaper for everyone.
Pricing was checked against the official Otterly pricing page and SKYA pricing page on 13 October 2026. Amounts below are in USD; monthly examples use monthly billing and exclude applicable tax.
Otterly.ai Pricing at a Glance
Otterly offers three published paid tiers and a custom Enterprise option. Each standard paid tier includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude are paid additions.
| Plan | Monthly price | Included search prompts | Key distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $29 | 15 | One workspace; entry-level monitoring |
| Standard | $189 | 100 | Unlimited workspaces, API and MCP access, and the Looker Studio connector |
| Premium | $489 | 400 | Higher prompt, audit, and integration allowances |
| Enterprise | Custom | Starting from 1,000 | Custom requirements, SSO, and dedicated support |
All three published tiers include unlimited team members and daily tracking. Standard and Premium also support additional prompt packs.
Annual-billing cards currently display monthly equivalents of $25 for Lite, $160 for Standard, and $422 for Premium. These should not be confused with month-to-month subscription prices. Compare the billing commitment as well as the displayed monthly equivalent.
For this article, the monthly rates provide the clearest basis for understanding upgrades and add-ons.
What Does the $29 Lite Plan Actually Include?
Otterly Lite is more than a basic mention counter.
Alongside its 15 search prompts and four included engines, the plan lists unlimited brand reports, citation analysis, domain ranking, a Brand Visibility Index, prompt research, detailed reports, and exports. It also includes 1,000 GEO URL audits per month and three recommendations per week. These allowances appear in the Lite plan’s feature breakdown.
That matters when comparing alternatives. Describing Otterly as “tracking only” would overlook capabilities included in its lowest-paid tier.
Lite also includes unlimited team members. A small marketing team can therefore collaborate without paying separately for every person who needs access.
The practical limit is scope: one workspace and 15 prompts. If those allowances cover your project, Lite offers a genuinely inexpensive way to begin monitoring AI visibility.
If they do not, the next decision is less straightforward than buying a few extra prompts.
What the Entry Price Does Not Include
More than 15 tracked prompts
Otterly does not list extra prompt packs for Lite. Its published 100-prompt expansion packs are available only on Standard and Premium. Within the published plan structure, moving beyond Lite’s allowance means considering Standard at $189 per month for 100 prompts.
That is a $160 monthly increase. You receive substantially more capacity and additional features, but a buyer who needs only 25 or 40 prompts still faces a larger subscription commitment.
This is the pricing step to evaluate before signing up, not after building your monitoring list.
Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude
The four included engines do not cover every platform Otterly supports.
Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude each require a separate add-on, with prices determined by your subscription tier. The official engine add-on pricing lists the following monthly charges.
| Additional engine | Lite/month | Standard/month | Premium/month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AI Mode | $9 | $59 | $149 |
| Gemini | $9 | $59 | $149 |
| Claude | $29 | $109 | $439 |
These are published, optional charges, not undisclosed fees. Nevertheless, they change the total significantly when those engines are essential to your monitoring brief.
Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode are separate line items in Otterly’s pricing. Having the former included does not mean the latter comes with your subscription.
Unlimited workspaces and integration access
Lite includes one workspace. The Standard and Premium lists unlimited workspaces, unlimited recommendations, and a Google Looker Studio connector. API access, MCP access, and agent analytics also appear from Standard upwards. For an agency, these differences may justify upgrading independently of prompt count.
For a solo marketer managing one brand, they may be unnecessary. Paying for a larger tier only makes sense when its additional capacity or workflow features solve a real requirement.
How Much Do Engine Add-Ons Change the Bill?
The simplest way to understand Otterly.ai pricing is to build a subscription around an actual use case.
The examples below combine the published monthly base prices and engine add-ons. They are illustrative totals before tax, not separate bundled plans.
Scenario 1: A small four-engine monitoring project
You need 15 prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.
Your monthly subscription is $29.
For this brief, the entry price is the relevant price. There is no reason to add engines your audience or reporting requirements do not demand.
Scenario 2: Lite with Gemini and Google AI Mode
You keep the 15-prompt allowance but add both Google engines.
Your monthly total becomes:
-
Lite: $29
-
Gemini: $9
-
Google AI Mode: $9
-
Total: $47
Adding Claude as well brings the total to $76 per month. The prompt allowance remains 15.
Scenario 3: Standard with all three additional engines
You need 100 prompts and all seven engines listed across Otterly’s base plans and add-ons.
Your monthly total becomes:
-
Standard: $189
-
Gemini: $59
-
Google AI Mode: $59
-
Claude: $109
-
Total: $416
Premium with those same three additions totals $1,226 per month: $489 plus $149, $149, and $439. These figures illustrate why engine requirements belong in the initial budget discussion.
Prompt Limits: Plan Your Coverage Before Choosing a Tier
A prompt budget should start with the questions you need answered, not the allowance you hope will be sufficient.
Consider a hypothetical software brand selling three products to two buyer groups. If the team tracks five distinct purchase questions for each product-and-audience combination, its initial list reaches 30 prompts.
That is before adding competitor comparisons, alternative-product searches, or location-specific variations. The lesson is not that every brand needs hundreds of prompts. It is that a small, deliberate monitoring list can exceed 15 quickly.
Build your proposed list around:
-
Product or service categories.
-
Buyer roles and use cases.
-
Comparison and alternative searches.
-
Important markets and languages.
-
Questions associated with purchase decisions.
Then check how the platform counts the configuration you intend to use. In its pricing FAQs, Otterly says prompt requirements depend on markets, languages, and products, and it links to a prompt calculator to help estimate them.
Also separate capacity from frequency. A 100-prompt allowance tells you how many prompts fit; it does not, by itself, describe the complete monitoring schedule.
Can You Expand Otterly Without Changing Plans?
On Standard and Premium, an additional 100 search prompts costs $99 per month. The pricing page also lists an annual prompt-pack price of $1,020.
That makes Standard with 200 prompts $288 per month before engine add-ons.
However, Standard can add only 300 additional prompts. Otterly states that customers requiring further expansion move to Premium.
Agencies should also investigate its Agency Partner program. The published benefits include 150 prompts on Standard instead of 100 and 500 on Premium instead of 400. Applicants must subscribe to Standard or Premium and then apply for partner status.
Those conditional benefits can materially improve value. They should not be presented as the standard allowance available automatically to every subscriber.
When Otterly Is the Cheaper Choice
Otterly wins the entry-price comparison. Lite costs $29 per month, while SKYA Starter costs $59. If 15 prompts and Otterly’s four included engines meet your needs, Otterly has the lower subscription bill.
There are other situations where its structure deserves consideration:
-
You want Copilot included at the entry level.
-
Your team needs multiple users without individual seat charges.
-
You value daily tracking across the included engines.
-
You already have a separate process for implementing audit recommendations.
SKYA Starter includes one user seat and covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview, rather than Otterly’s entry-level engine mix. Extra SKYA seats are paid additions. These are meaningful differences, not minor footnotes.
The fairest conclusion is that Otterly can be the better-value monitoring subscription for a tightly scoped project.
When SKYA Deserves a Closer Look
SKYA becomes relevant when your requirements move beyond a small monitoring list or include a broader implementation workflow.
Starter provides 50 tracked prompts across four engines for $59 per month. Brand Pro provides 150 prompts and all nine listed engines for $199 per month.
Compare that with Otterly’s published standard configuration: 100 prompts for $189, with Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude priced separately. That comparison favors SKYA on included capacity and engine breadth, but it does not establish identical service levels.
Refresh schedules differ. Otterly lists daily tracking; SKYA distinguishes its daily Brand Pulse from tracked-prompt schedules. SKYA’s pricing page says priority tracked prompts run every three days, while other tracked prompts on Starter and Brand Pro run weekly. Daily snapshots should not be mistaken for daily tracking of the complete prompt list.
SKYA also lists hallucination checks, competitor intelligence, and connected-site publishing workflows. WordPress supports one-click technical fixes, while other supported platforms have their own implementation limits.
Some SKYA outputs consume credits. The starter includes five monthly report credits, and content creation or dated agent reports can use those credits. SKYA, therefore, should not be described as offering unlimited execution for its base price.

A Practical Checklist Before You Subscribe
Before choosing either platform, write down your minimum workable configuration:
-
List the prompts you actually need.
-
Name the engines your reporting must cover.
-
Specify the refresh frequency required.
-
Count users, brands, and workspaces.
-
Identify essential exports and integrations.
-
Separate monitoring from implementation tasks.
-
Calculate the total with add-ons and usage allowances.
This prevents two common mistakes: dismissing a useful, low-cost tool because it has optional extras or choosing it solely because its entry price looks attractive.
Choose the Coverage, Not Just the Starting Price
Otterly’s $29 plan is a credible option for a small, clearly defined monitoring project. Its limitations become important when you need more prompts, additional engines, or higher-tier integrations.
SKYA starts at a higher price but offers a different combination of prompt capacity, engine coverage, and implementation features. Compare the complete configuration, including refresh schedules, seats, and credits, before deciding.
